× Minecraft.

By chasm

Three familiar games. A different way to play.

4 steps
  1. Download and extract

Get 2010-Rust-Rewrite-Mashup-windows-x64.zip from the release. Extract it into its own writable folder, outside Program Files.

  2. Choose MW2

Open iw4l.exe. Confirm your MW2 installation, or choose the folder containing iw4mp.exe and zone.

  3. Add skating, if you want it

Select Skate 3’s extracted default.xex, with its data folder beside it. Connect your controller. Choose No to continue without skating.

  4. Try your first map

Choose a map from Create Game. If you added Skate 3, press J or click both controller sticks to get on or off the board. Use the controller to skate.

Try the Minecraft world
Pick the map
Open Create Game, choose the Minecraft tab, then select overworld.
First run
This mode downloads about 125 MB of Minecraft data. It needs Internet access and curl, included with Windows 10 and 11.
Explore
Use WASD and the mouse to move. E opens the inventory. With a block selected, right-click to place it; with an empty hand, left-click to mine.
Returning & troubleshooting
Open it again
Run iw4l.exe from the same extracted folder. Setup is remembered. Minecraft World.bat opens the Minecraft route directly.
MW2 isn’t found
Select the main MW2 (2009) folder containing its multiplayer executable and zone. DLC files alone are not enough.
Skate 3 isn’t accepted
Select the extracted default.xex and keep data beside it. A raw ISO is not accepted. The creator guide covers extraction.
The Minecraft download fails
Check your Internet connection and that curl is available, then relaunch.
Known issues in v0.4.0
The skateboard is invisible on some maps. Bot matches can have lower performance.
